    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

    The "Wave"

do you acknowledge other camaros and firebirds? even gto's and vettes? I swear i'll toss a thumbs up or metal sign left and right to v6's + and people look at me like "i don't get it." I don't do it much to vettes...i'll rev at a vette but normaly they don't notice us f-bodies. GTO drivers seem so ambiguous too.

sometimes I wave or get a wave or thumbs up. But most guys are preoccupied and never even notice who is next to them.

This was once a great tradition for Mustang guys too. When I got my first car in 1990, a 1987 GT, I was driving it home a guy in a white GT convertible waved at me. I thought he must have known me and I just didn't recognize him. After a couple more waves I caught on. Then I'd have to explain to passengers. Someone would wave, I'd wave back, passenger asks, 'do you know them?'. Life was good.

Now, I sadly admit, most Mustang owners are highschool girls in V6s. And highschool girsl never paid any attention to me. The tradition seems dead. Maybe people are just less friendly these days?

P.S. I still wave to ricers. Like this

I wave, usually get one back. First time someone did it to me I was a little confused, but after a couple times I caught on.

Don't get it a lot anymore though since I moved to this shit-hole town. Not very many Camaros or T/A's around here. Nothing but jacked up trucks and ricer-mobiles.

I concentrate on this black thing with stripes called the 'road' and like, drive and shit.

Here in western NC the towns are so small that everyone knows each other and waves no matter what you are in. Not even a choice. Young or old, Toyota or GTO, everyone waves. I've been here 4 years now and I'm still not used to it after a life in Florida where no one is a native and no one waves. Like two different countries instead of states.

Yep, in our area, it seems most only have a V6 and if they have more, they don't seem to notice what's better on the road. If they do, they do give a nice rev for a race or a wave for "hey like your car...thumbs up"

I don't get too much shit from ricers due to the loud exhaust.

The most attention comes from C4 vettes, which I love to toast and it happens regularly. Mostly from younger guys who always look suprised once they realize it's a chick behind the tinted windows...(I always roll em down once they catch up after I shut er down). When they have a girl with em, it's even better...

I've also taken a few C5's too. They seem much more pissed off though...wonder why??? Especially if they have thier woman with them.

I get the most waves when I drive our Jeep Wrangler. It's mostly Ron's. But I always get a wave or two when I drive it.
