the original star wars is another example. the only recent one i can think of is lord of the rings. it's all about being imaginative and telling a god story.

Heres the short list I have of awesome movies in that genre: Dark Crystal, original never ending story, legend (tom cruise), Labyrinth, and of course star wars episodes 4, 5, and 6. Im sure there are tons more but its sunday and im drinking beer, I dont wanna think that hard

I saw Blade Runner maybe 2-3 years ago and I thought it was a thrown together movie. Not much to it, to be honest.

Dark Crystal rocks. Good soundtrack too.
