Vintage Motorcycles
Anyone else into them? Most of my buddy's have crotch rockets, but I think I would like to have something like an early 70's norton (or something similar) to piddle around with. the nortons are british so i don't know how readily available they are. i want one that needs restored . . . you know so i can get it cheap . . . something thats been in an old barn for 20 yrs. i don't know too much about them so there would definately be a learning curve.
or something with a side car

they look really cool but word of warning if you get a basket case or something that needs work it is pretty hard to find parts for the vintage bikes. If you get one make sure its in good shape.

i used to deliver vintage harleys for a collector to bike shops to show them... hauling around 14 million worth of bikes in a bit nerve wrecking... he has a few of the first year of harley... they were made to run on a WOOD race course...

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Triumph or BSA would probably be easier on your wallet as the outsold Norton by a large margin. IIRC, they still make Triumph's.

yeah thats what i figured . . . but man i like them commando combats but i believe the triumph tiger cafe racers are fairly similar (but dont take what i say as fact cuz i really have no idea ). did triumph, norton, and bsa kinda merge in the 70's sometime? im gonna surf around and see what bsa's i like. gonna be hard with any of these to find a restorable one, theyre just not adverstised much.
