wow...thats fuckin rotten and lame.
would the owner dock himself pay if he missed a weeks worth of meetings because of a family emergency? nope. so why do it to one of the players that makes him his money.

There SHOULD be something in the CBA about leaving for a death in the family, right? I mean, fuck, I belong to a union and I'm given three days bereavement leave if a member of my family dies (immediate family, including grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, so on). You'd think one of the most powerful unions in the world would have something like that in the agreement....So I'm taking a point away from both sides, here. Union and ownership. Lack of integrity on both sides.
Last year the Bills's rookie cornerback, Ashotn Youboty, lost his mother, and he was gone for about a month. Missed all of training camp, some of the regular season. He got back, but he never played that year because he missed so much time. But the Bills didn't fine him for it. Damn, that is BULLSHIT.

Black, Black- 2011 "Generic" Gasser
Black eye for a franchise that seems to have just gotten past that party boat scandal.

what sucks is there is a thing called the family and medical leave act-FMLA that says employees once employed for a "x" amount of time have to get 12 weeks in 12 months on non paid leave, so he shouldnt be fined. plus it is just wrong for what they did
