Venting on Miami Beach Police (Clerks)

Last month I was on vacation in Miami. I got pulled over for speeding. 52 in a 30. I am pretty much guilty about it. I got a ticket of a nice price of $294. On the ticket it said that I can pay online. It also states that allow 15 days for my info to be in the system, but the payment still needed to be made with in 30 days.

3 weeks pass no info online has been posted. I went to a post office and got a money order. I sent out the Money Order with a Delivery conformation. http://trkcnfrm1.smi.usps.com/PTSInt...40000178408768


On Friday I get a whole bunch of junk mail from Miami lawyers offices. So I am thinking WTF? I got online and see that my info is now in the system and my fee now has gone up to $310. I try calling them that Friday but the auto message kept on saying to call after 3PM. I call at 3PM I get a busy tone. I call at 3:10PM I get a busy tone. I call at 3:20PM and was put on hold. I stay on hold until 4:04PM with a Auto message saying that the office is closed and call back on Monday from 8-4.

Today, been calling since 9AM. Finally around 3 PM I was able to reach someone. They say that the payment was never received. They cannot do anything else for me. Immediate payment of $310 is due.

WTF? now I am out of $294 and still owe $310?? Any suggestions would really help.

Call the bank cancel the payment, then get down there pay the 310 payment in person save your reciept and sort it out later before you run out of time and possibly end up with a bench warrant...

I would call the money order company and see if it has been cashed. Your kinda stuck as far as paying the extra for late payment. If it's late it's late nothing you can do about that now.

As far as the service you did not receive welcome to the state of Florida. Every place down here is like that. No one ever calls you back either when they say they will.

the mail was sent out to a P.O. box. no way of getting a signature. Just a delivery conformation.

I made a payment online. I am going to go to the Post Office tomorrow and see what can be done about my M. O.
