Vegemite Banned??

Who has had Vegemite spread on their toast or sandwich?

Reports came in a while back that Vegemite has been banned in the US because it contains Folate. Apparently you guys only allow folate in breads and cereals. Some reports of border guards questioning travellers if they are carrying Vegemite.

It is an aquired taste made from yeast, vegetable extract and Koala poo (probably). You either love it or hate it.

I have never EVER seen it sold here.

Tried it in Western Australia, did not care much for it.

never heard of it but I'm sure if you wrap enough bacon around it and cook it in butter I'd eat it.

Last I was in Melbourne I had brought my much loved Peanut Butter with me....my Aussie buddy had some on a cracker cuz he had never even seen Peanut Butter.....thought he was gonna puke

Vegamite is OK after a fella aquires a taste for it....but I wouldnt go out of my way to get any thats for damn sure

I only knew of it through Men at work's song The land down under and sumized that it contained veggies. But now, we need to find out what's really in it (shrooms) maybe. Whats up with the big ban on folate?
