Vacuum cleaners: Best Bang for the buck, Paging Orion
I've had this Bisell low end($75-$85) p.o.s vacuum cleaner for years now and it's time for a new one. I've heard good things about the Dysons but dont want to drop $300-$500.
Whats your guys/gals opinions on vac. cleaners? I'm looking in the price range of $100 to $200.

Ask Orion.
We've got an older Oreck. Works well. Not so sure on their newer stuff.

I bought a green eureka boss a few years ago for around $150 and it's been great. They're easy to clean and has still has good suction to this day. Whatever you get don't get a bagless one.

I got the cheapest model Dyson from Bed Bath & Beyond with one of their 20% off coupons. That brought it down around $200.

Black- Murdered 2006 GMC Sierra
I own a carpet dry cleaning company so I've owned a lot of vacuums. Also as a part of our service we check each customers vacuum after cleaning their carpet. So to say I've seen and used them all is accurate. Dyson first off are very overrated.
NO Vacuum is better than a rainbow. But VERY expensive. I would rather have a 20 year old one than anything new at a big box store.
The thing that makes most vacs today weak is that they are asked to do to many things. What I mean is the wand that does all the other crap cuts down on power and gives tham a ton more clog points.
All my guys use POWR-FLITE PF 757,cloth shake out bag. They are about 225-260. My crews get 3-3.5 years out of them(about 7000 whole house uses).
Some other brands that are quality are riccar, miele, oreck(in that order).
If you need more info let me know.

My wife just bought that Shark cleaner online. It also came with a steam vac/cleaner for floors. She seems to really like it but I wouldn't know, lol.

I've used Elecroluxs, Kirbys, Hoovers, and Oreck's and NOTHING compares to my Dyson animal. Greatest vacuum there is (next to a hign-end Rainbow).

Word on the street is that Orion has his own vacuum in the works. He is going to call it the blackhole and the top of the line one would be called the Orion because nothing else sucks that much. The tale is that it will be able to suck the hair back to the surface of Sarges head for regrowth.

Looks as there a lot more choices than I had originally thought!
Any info on the Eureka AirSpeed Bagless Upright Vacuum, AS1000A
It has claims of being right there and slightly better than Dyson.

Dysons consistently gets beaten in comparison tests, often times by vacuums that are alot cheaper. They're not the best vacuums, but people that buy them have to somehow convince themselves that they're the best so they can justify the amount of money they just spent.
Truth hurts, awaiting angry defiant dyson owner replies
