If you go to the Hawaiin islands, go to Maui. It's awesome there, but dont stay in Kaanapali (the big touristy area on the west side). Stay on the south side, in the Kihei/Waimea area, it freaking rules there. I was there a few years back. If you can afford it, go for a condo. We had one within maybe 4-5 minutes walk to the beach, and the walk was all in lush beautiful gardens, it was awesome.

Now, if you're either in high school or just appreciate drunken white trash debauchery, then Panama City, FL is the place for you.

Stay far away from Jamaica. Unless you are a serious pot head no sense going there.
If you go to Hawaii don't waste your time at Oahu. Spend a day there go see Pearl Harbor and Dole and Waikiki/honolulu then go to either Kauai in Princeville. The hotel there is absolutely amazing. If too expensive stay in the south end at the Hyatt in poipu and then you can drive an hour up to Princeville and use their facilities since they are sister hotels.
Also loved Maui stay on the west side in Kanapali or Lahaina great food and nightlife. good beaches between the two towns.
Don't know much about florida keys

If I do go. I will be going to Hawaii. I would like to go where there are not a lot of people. Somewhere with beautifull scenery. And a hotel on the beach. Maybe some shopping in walking distance. I don't plan on getting a rental car.

Def. do maui then, Oahu is packed and it's like being in a huge city. Not to mention it's about 70% japanese tourists there. Feels like you are actually in another country.
Maui is great go to the Kanapali region you can get a cab to the strip which is about 10 min away max. All the major hotels there have beach access and usually multiple pools. I will warn you I was a bit disappointed in the beaches in all of Hawaii because they aren't very wide from water to land, and the water is avg. temp. and depending on the time of year either very calm or crazy waves.
