Jesus christ that's freakin' weird!
I was thinking of asking the exact same question.
So anyway, does shaving the hair decrease sweating and/or reduce the smell?

havent used the clinical strength stuff yet may try it. its not that bad but will get the little spot on the shirts once in a while especially when in a hot place. not like some guys who look like they was armpit high water or nuthin . thing is never been a problem before n now i notice it n jus wanna stop it n i keep reading to remove the hair that that tends to aid and aid well

OK this thread is weird as hell b/c I have thought of this also.
I think that trimming your arm pit hair shorter does help. It makes sense, think about it.
You have a hairy beast in the woods, such as a bear. He stays warm.
You have a naked man in the woods, he freezes to death.
Less hair = less heat = less sweat = less smell = more women.

Mitchum is what I use. It's the solid stuff, not the clear stuff. Good stuff. Hard to find.
They have some other crazy stuff now that's solid and white, but it's for shit.
never shaved, no help there.

it works wonders for me....i usually notice i need to shave em again, not cuz i notice the hairs back..but i notice my laundry stinks more.
i have a beard trimmer i use everywhere else.. so just like once a month i just whack it off
but do it right before a shower...otherwise it itches

I wouldnt think removing the hair would have any effect.. Maybe a little more ventilation... But it's not like you're removing the glands under there.
