which tv to buy?? help
Hey every one!
BUY NOW I'm looking to upgrade my tv, and I want to go with something around a 46-50inches tv. I've been thinking to go with a Vizio tv... one of these ( http://www.vizio.com/products.aspx?id=1502 ) The reason why is because I've herd good things about them. Their cheaper in price, and perform at the same leve or better.
OR
wait till black friday and try and get a better deal some where
FETURES TV NEEDS TO HAVE
~work well with xbox 360
~ be able to be hooked up to a good surround sound system
~ if it can hook up to a comp cool if not no biggie
So if anyone can point me in a good direction, please do!
thanks

I recently bought a 40 inch Sony at Fry's. I got it on July 4th, they had it on sale for $200 off the regular price. They also have a 30 day price guarantee, so two weeks later I noticed it was for sale for another $200 cheaper, so I got a credit on my CC.
Price was $1400, not the cheapest, but the picture is great. Costco has the same model for the same price, the 46 inch model is about $2K. It has 120 Hz refresh rate and 1080i. I have regular cable TV, but this tuner gets hi-res versions of the local channels. A bunch of radio stations as well.
Even the fastest action sports show no blur at all.
It has computer input, optimized settings for games, lots of HDMI inputs. The remote will operate a Sony Blue Ray DVD, so that's on my list now.Last edited by Y2KSS1363; 10-19-2008 at 04:34 PM.

I just got this TV last month. I got it for $1800. Best TV for the money. 120hz 4ms refresh and my xbox 360 looks sexy as hell. (i got the red ring of death yesterday so it looks like nothing now, but you get the picture)
Standard DVDs look great also. It isn't like other TVs that make DVDs look worse.
I spent way more than I wanted, but I think the TV will be future proof.
Sexy TV

I Know you said you were looking at 46-50 but do you have a price range?
I agree stay away from vizo, there not a bad tv there's just better out there. If your going to spend a grand or two on a tv you might as well get a good one. As others stated save up till you can get the tv you really want. Thats what I did, originally look at getting a 40in then started see that 46-47's were only a couple hundered more so I waited untill I could afford a 47in. Most defenietly worth the wait.

How much are you looking to spend? I bought my 65" TV and stand for $1,900 a year ago and have had no trouble at all with it.
