    Turbo busa vs. vette

the busa puts out 404whp and the vette is in the 700whp range. i've met the guy with the vette a few times, really cool dude, dont know who has the busa tho. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...75870015282844

the guy who posted and recorded the race said the busa let off around 200 or 220 dependin on which race it was, and it only takes him like 12seconds to get to that speed. talk about suckin your balls into your stomach!

however slight, the change of living in an accident in the vette at that speed is a little greater than living on the busa.

..... 200 mph, maybe. At 400whp it would be just about capable of that. More than a few magazines have turbo'd busas and it takes nearly 500crank hp to ge tehm to top out over 200. THe biggest problem is they amount of wind resistance they have to overcome. Its really hard to believe it would get anywhere near 220 mph.

After 70mph it is pretty much luck on your side for either if you live.

If you hit something, you're dead. I have friends go down at over 120mph on a track, and come up with nothing but bruises. Full race leathers, boots, the works, and nothing else on the track. On the street, even at 50, 60 mph you're dead or maimed if you hit a guard rail, a post, a car, etc. One of the guys on a bike board I go to lost his foot when he bailed on his bike, slid a hundred feet and hit a curb with his foot. Really sad, but part of the risks you take when you hop on the bike. I just wore some timberlands before reading about that, then I went and bought myself a good pair of real riding boots.

i dont think either vehicle was going at the stated speeds. vette might have got up to 120 tops. there would be alot more wind sound in a vert at those speeds. like no sound at all just wooosh!!!
