Tummy muscle advice.
Anybody here do sit ups?
I'm trying to get a six pack. I'm tired of my stomach being flat, i lift weights because I played football so i don't consider myself skinny and I don't have a beer belly, just want a six pack.
Yall have any good methods you use to strengthen your tummy?
If you do give me some tips.
Help would be appreciated.
Thanks muscleheads of LS1.com

ab exercises will build up your abdominals and strengthen them, but to get them to really "pop" you need to lower bodyfat.

Diet diet diet. Clean eating and are you doing enough cardio? 20-30 min of intense cardio every other day. dont just lolly gag on the treadmill ....jog and every 2 minutes up yor pace for about 4-5 cycles then back down to start and right back up every 2 min. at end of each cycle you should be working hard. same goes for olipticals or bikes. Weights on legs is good but you have to burn off that layer of fat or water. IF you drink soda or other high suger drinks.....stop. Tons and tons of water. you should be peeing almost enough that it is annoying. you have to drink water to get rid of water weight.

For actual ab exercises I prefer a weight machine ie hammer strength, and leg raises via roman chair

i have a six pack, my favorite one thats easy on the back is to lay on your back on a mat/soft surface, lift your shoulders and legs off the ground (make sure your legs are somewhat bent and not above you) and look up. your lower back should be somewhat flat on the ground, make your arms straight and to your sides and 'shake' them up and down rapidly about sixinches off the ground this 'pulsating' really gets your abs warm, makes sure you are comfortable in this position before you start to get going.

Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym.

when you get pregnant then all of this advice goes out the door...... I'm assuming you're a female since you used the term "tummy".

Buy a cheap moped. Have it set up to run about five miles, and then die. Then push it the last five miles to your g/f's house. Rest for about 2 hours. When her parents get home, duck out the back door. It should be capable of running again for about 3-4 miles, then die again. Push it back home. Do this every day for a summer. You will have the nastiest six pack you ever saw. Oh, make sure you live in hilly areas. Also, make sure it has no brakes. Buy at least 3 pairs of herman survivors, and use your feet to slow down from 30-45 mph.
