tubo not good on new 5.0..???
http://www.stangnet.com/2010/07/14/f...ged/#more-2747
Well, we all knew it was just a matter of time. The aftermarket for the late-model Ford Mustang is one of the most carnivorous we’ve ever seen in any automotive spectrum. The latest tweak from a set of Mustang modification nuts comes in the form of a turbocharger for the all-new 5.0-liter equipped 2011 Ford Mustang GT. Utilizing a solid platform from Borg Warner, the Fastlane folks tweaked a 2011 GT with the 5.0 V8 to safely pump out over 530 rwhp and 500 rwtq…on a mere 6 to 7 pounds of boost.

Thats pretty much as far they can go tho.

and it's perfectly fine running 87 octane fuel too
(stirring the pot)
Edit: Okay, the article says: * At least 120 additional RWHP, but it says 530 RWHP on "6 or 7" lbs. of boost..............isn't 530 to the wheels A LOT more than 120 rwhp, compared to 'at least' 120 rwhp? There must be more to it.
Edit #2: After reading the article better, they say the GT makes 360 to the wheels, and after they add headers, exhaust and CAI, it gets up to about 412 to the wheels, and then they add the turbo to get from 412 to 530-ish. I feel better nowLast edited by FasstChevys; 07-15-2010 at 12:28 PM.

I am sure Ford left allot of room for improvement, seems people like to put money into them and it's part of the fun.

Sounds like the power output is similar to an LS1 with a D-1SC kit. Nice!
