Trade (63 Falcon for 04 F-350)
Alright, I still been needing a truck. This guy offered me a 2004 Ford F-350 XL 4x4 Powerstroke. He's thinking of trading my 63 Falcon. My stepdad is trading in his truck, I kinda mention this guy who is interested in my Falcon. He still needs a truck once and a while. So him and I is trying to come up with a deal, maybe he pays my insurance and maintenance, then he has full access to the truck when he needs. It's a 5-Speed, sweet. But just an old work truck, what do you think? Has 128,000 "highway miles", hmmm ok. Has some dents, well a number of dents. The Falcon does not really drive. What do you think?

I inherited from my dad, it's getting some work done. It's in damn good shape for it's age.

That car looks really good for it's age and never being restored.
Unless you really need the truck for something specific (towing, hauling, etc), I would definitely keep the Falcon.

Don't really need it, but there is to many times I am like shit. How am I going to get this in the Vette or T/A. I want to get a boat, but the type of car I normally have limits me on this. Same thing with hunting. It's going to be even worse if my parents trade the Dodge truck in... No truck, damn... I use there's when I really need one. I would trade if I know it's the right truck. I am find with it being a plain work truck. I want a Diesel and it to be 4x4. But is that the right truck, is it worth it.

Did I see that right, 5-Speed? To my understanding the manual in these is a 6 speed?

Five speed auto, stick should be a sixer. Despite you not wanting the car but do want a diesel, this isn't the trade for you IMO. That's a beat ass old work truck and an early 6.0 diesel at that don't lose money like that off an impulse trade.

those 6.0 powerstrokes, especially the older ones like an 04 are riddled with problems.
DO NOT buy that truck. just my piece of advise. thhey have an EXTREMLY high tendancy to blow headgaskets due to their shitty EGR setup, and to change the headgaskets, the CAB MUST BE REMOVED!!!

Are you for real? That seems a bit odd, I have to remove the cab to change head gaskets... I may try and put up on ebay soon. If it sells, then maybe look into getting a C5. I seen a few for $14,000 and under 97-99, 60,000-85,0000 miles. Then looked on craigslist, there's some 4x4 for about $1,000 even some diesels. That's idea, if the Falcon sales... IDK, what do you think?
