Uh, last time I checked, 2.62 million was alot less than 3.82 million. It will take a long time for Toyota to pass GM in sales and I doubt it will happen.

Ditto.... thats like a 30% difference... And GMs product line is getting stronger, while toyotas is weakening. Expect to see a reversal in the trend next year when the new malibu and CTS take off.

if Toyota sales are increasing, how is their product line getting weaker?

GM needs to get off their ass and stop taking so long to bring better cars to the market. Stop focusing on the the high dollar, gas guzzling SUV and bring some QUALITY fuel efficient cars to the market. I WAS a pontiac fan but lately pontiac has little to offer. I recently had the displeasure of driving a rental 07 grand prix and what a crap car. interior still looked like the grand prix i owned over ten years ago. only thing currently on pontiac lot i'd consider is the solstice. I also had a Malibu rental, that was a decent car and got good mileage. The Buick cars are decent, but still only appeal to the over 40 crowd. Chevy is finally getting on the right track with the new malibu (that actually is a nice car and will be offered as a hybrid). The cobalt does not do very well in the MPG area for a small car and where is the hybrid version? With gas prices going up and not coming back down GM is once again having flashbacks of the 70's fuel crisis with not enough good cars ready to come to market. JMO
