Totalled/how much damage?
3 days after I got my headers and new exhaust on this happens. Asshole ran a red light that had been red for atleast 4-5 seconds doing atleast 45 in a 30, two over 60 women in the car driving a pos hyundai. I've said it a million times and I'll say it again, OLD PEOPLE SHOULD NOT HAVE DRIVERS LICSENSES And if that's not bad enough the fucking fire truck that was at the scene side swipped my car as it was leaving. I couldn't fucking believe it
atleast I've got some sweet camber now eh?

Ummm...I don't see that as being "totalled". Might be my old eyes. All I see is new wheels, repaint and a nice lawsuit for that fire dept.

Uhh, it's going to need more than wheels and paint. Left front fender is shot, LF wheel, probably all of the LF suspension and steering components (probably the rack as well). Rear bumper can be repainted. K member might be toast. Unibody (frame) could be bent on the left front. Driver's door may be damaged; it at least needs painted.
That may be worse case scenario, but dont be surprised. Probably not totaled, but it will never be the same.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Sorry to hear about your car but:
Tell ya what son, when you can beat this "old" mans reaction time from a Sportsman's tree ( 3 .5 sec amber lights then green) then I'll give up my license.
Hell, I'll run you on a Pro tree (1 .4 amber light then green) and I bet I still win.
FWIW, last Sunday I was sitting at a red light when some 20 something mom with 2 kids in the Minivan ran right thru the red light going the other way. She was oblivious to the whole incident. I watched agast waiting for some cross traffic. Lucky for her there wasn't any. So don't be bagging on old folks and their driving habits cuz that stupid driver crap goes straight across all age lines...
<--- Almost 3x your age and I still cut a sub .2 light (usually better)...

for a supposed 30-45mph, damage wise, that is nothing. your wheel would be toast along with the fender, front bumper and hood, imo. and i believe you would have a lot more visual damage to the windshield and a-pillar area.
again, most damage is what you can't see, but from a side impact, minor. im no specialist, but i have seen tons more damage done at slower speeds with similar vehicles involved.
regardless, it sucks. hope it all works out in your favor.

It shouldn't be totalled. The damage is two separate claims, hence two estimates, both being well below the value of the car. I wouldn't be worried about it. Just take it to a shop you trust and have them do all of the work.

Actually, I think cars less than 7 years old have to be 70% or more to be totalled and cars older than that can go up to 100% value before being totalled.

Just got done with the insurance company, the car is Totalled
I have a question for you guys. If I decide to keep the car even though it's totalled and take the reimbursment money will the car be under a salvage title? If so there's no way I'm keeping it.

I am with you on this. Looks can be deceiving.
Well, you are right. However you are 1 of the 2 components in this accident. Yes you might be old but theses were WOMEN drivers. End of discussion.
Not sure exactly. I know in some instances it can go either way, have seen it but not sure about how its done. When my corvette was totalled last fall it had 11k worth of damage and honestly I could have fixed it for about 4k in parts TOPS but would have had to buy the car, then wait on the title to come back THEN I would get my insurance money.
If you buy it back you probably could part it out if you wanted but depending on how much they give you, you can get another car. What are you looking for? haha
Just a joke, but sorry about your accident with the car. Get them headers off if you let the car go.

Ok they just re adjusted their statement, the sent someone out to look at it and they said that now it isn't totalled. Past two days have been a nightmare. So I guess i'm getting it repaired
