    Tool - 10,000 days...

Has anyone got Tool's new album? So far, the Amazon.com reviews give it a 4.5 / 5. Is great, good, bad, horible? Either way, I'll probably get it just because I'm a Tool fan.

the only good song is vicarious, all others are too long and i thought i was listening to some kind of slowww ambient tribal music. Tool think they are way too serious

tool has GOT to be the most overrated band on the planet.

granted, they put on a kickass live show, but come on.... they started going downhill with lateralus.

bring back the days of eulogy and opiate.

    I like it.

Although the CD could easily be 8-10 minutes shorter and it would improve.

first few songs are good then after that is just whinning ass singer and boring music.

If you want to a hear new CDs that are good, check out Soil - true self, or check out Rebel meets Rebel, its dimebag (rip) and david allen coe, I hate country but the metal on it is awesome and its Dime on guitar!

those two are definitely better then the new godsmack or tool

I love Tool, their technical work is outstanding, the band is VERY talented and tight, they continue to explore where no one else cares to, and I like the fact that they write music for themselves, they enjoy what they are doing, and THAT I like. Tool has never been music for the masses, hopefully they won't change that.

I also like their stuff cuz it reminds me of the greater progressive hard rock bands of a couple of decades earlier like Sabbath with Ozzy, Deep Purple circa Made In Japan, early Rainbow, Kansas, Rush, and to a lesser extent early Iron Maiden and Judas Priest...great talent and willing to explore.

Nowadays all I listen to is Disturbed, SOAD and Tool, I haven't heard any other recent bands that gets my blood going.

Not only is koRn the best band in the nu-metal genre, they CREATED the fucking nu-metal genre.

Other than playing the same chord over and over for 9 minutes, Tool has created nothing but hype since the days of stinkfist and eulogy.

Granted, I agree that Follow the Leader and the self-titled are koRn's best work, but Thoughtless, Did My Time, Right Now and Word Up! were absolutely brilliant.

Politics, Souvenir and Twisted Transistor off the new record kicks ass as well.
