Thinking about starting a business...
At first it would be internet based and then maybe work itself into a full fledged office with employees. Has to do with sales. I don't wanna divulge too much info, but I could use any input from people that have done the same or similar.
Help?

I know exactly what you are talking about and I have one suggestion! I'm going to be doing the same thing and want to start off on LS1.com first off and then proceed to actual human interaction..........Number 1 suggestion is start a savings account and start saving for what you need. I only need about $20,000 which is chump change but I want to pay in cash. That way if the company fails, you have no loans above you're head and can sell what you need off. I'm saving slow and steady but HEY.....slow and steady wins the race
EDIT: Prepare for the worse and expect the worse is you're best option IMHO┌∩┐(◕_◕)┌∩┐
Man: The Mods you are fighting,
they are the biggest Men I have ever seen. I
wouldn't want to fight them!

You need to think if their will be a demand or a good amount of interested buyers for the item/s you'll be selling if this is going business based. Profit vs cost of said item/s and cost of running the business, as well as how long it will take you to sell an item, which I'm sure you've been thinking about. You said it would start off internet based, but idk how based that is.. Are you starting off on Craigslist? Ebay? Making your own website? Test the waters first before you invest into it

As a small business owner myself,, also you must be prepared to loose money for a while as well..
Many if not most upstart small business's loose money for the first year or two..(ask me how I know)..
Start a tax account with your bank so you can pay your taxes..
Have or make business cards..
Get a lawyer, and insurance..
Obviously there's a shit ton more to it than that..
Just my .02 based on the info given..
Suggestion: If you are particularly irritated by another member's posting habits and are constantly fighting the urge to flame them, you can click on that person's profile, and select "Add to ignore list." This will make that person's posts invisible to you.

I wouldn't be selling a product, it would be a service. And I think the demand would be high in my area, there's nothing like it in my area, and with the economy the way it is, it would be saving people money by paying for my service.

I still think a male escort business would fly in some places. Lots of women out there who cant get a date and need a good looking guy for a function or just to go out to dinner with and have a good time. Any interaction after the scheduled time would be strictly between the "Jon" and the client so as my business would not be liable.
Anyone want to invest?
Need a small office with a place to interview the client and make sure they are not crazy. Two cars, perhaps a DTS and an Escalade, a bunch of suits and tux's and supporting garments. And pretty much thats it.
