Thinking about selling

I'm thinking about selling my 3rd gen. I have a 1983 Trans am. This car is down to only body panels and they are just hanging on the car. I have all the interior parts. The motor was the 305 carbed with t-5 trans. It was originally a WS4 optioned car. This car has been apart since 2000. I planed on just doing a motor swap on it but the paint literally fell off the car (mako paint job). Since 2000 My daughter was born and I have found out I have arthritis and can not do the body work and in 2007 my step dad passed and left me his 97 Z-28 that I have been spending time working on. My father has been telling me since 2002 that he would paint it for me but since that has still not happened and he has 3 other projects on his hands I am done holding my breath. I don't have a lot of money and most of what I do have is going to the 97, so I figure this thing has taken up the space in my one car garage for long enough. I know that if I sell it it will only fetch what someone is willing to pay but there is no rust on this car, it is a straight and has only minor body work that needs to be done so it is a solid platform ready to go. What do you all think? Should I hold on to it and maybe save up to have it painted which could be 4 years, or do I just let it go to someone that has time and money for it? And if I let it go about how much should I be looking to put on it? thanks.

The car is 26 going on 27 years old. There really isn't anything collector about it, so no matter what money you put into it, it won't be worth any more than any other 3rd gen out there.

sell the car and put the money in the 97. i just made a similar decision with a 30 year old vespa scooter. definitely smaller item, but is also sitting in the garage like a dead duck.
