Thinking about changing my field, but to what?
I've been thinking about trying something else for a living instead of sales. I've been doing sales for the last 6 years or so and it's not getting me where I want to be. I want to write for a living, but that will not pay the bills.
I have no idea what field(s) I should look into. I'm not looking to go to school for anything.'07 MAZDASPEED6 GT

I just finished writing my first guest column for a new magazine coming out the end of this month. CRNTech will be shipped instead of CRN
( http://www.crn.com ) as part of their 25 year makeover. It was unpaid, but the large readership will put me back on the radar.
Think about who you know and how you know them. That is how the best jobs are found/offered. I have known the editors at CMP Media for many years and I was invited to be on the editorial advisory board for CRN Tech through my relationships with the company.
I have been a geek for a long time and want to branch out further into the marketing/pr world and utilize my drag racing experience to promote products. I view being published by a major trade media firm as the first step in putting together a working resume to be noticed.2002 Street ET Champion New England Dragway

So you have a HS education and are not cutting it in sales (this can be one of the highest paying careers) and want to change carreers without goin to school or investing much in yourself....
You like writing, but you think it won;t pay the bills... Good writers get payed well for there work.
You need to find what you like to do 1st then figure out how to make money at it... it makes no sense to pick a career only based on money if you don't enjoy it.
also most times to make money takes some investment from you, either education, gain experience while making nothing, or invest actual $$$ into your own business.
