Things that annoy me.

It's finally March.

And it's snowing again here in Athens, GA. Last year it also snowed for the first time in March in forever (and that was 6 inches or so, unheard of here). I hope this isn't evidence of a new norm. I like it here, but if this spring-time snow bullshit continues, looks like I'll be moving further south. I'm pretty sure there was about a 6-year span that I didn't even see snow in GA (and most of that time I was living in part of GA that was further north).

Just looked out the window. It's actually sticking to the ground. And it's actually snow now... Coming back from class this morning it was only a rain/sleet/shit/ice mixture. My only consolation is that in less than a week, midterm week in school will have ended, and I'll be 1000 miles south of here, where the temperature will be in the mid-80's, while I'm getting intoxicated and tan, showing off my almost 6-pack, and drunkenly expressing my sexist and narcissistic views to the surrounding sluts, instead of discussing something that would give a higher chance of getting laid.

STFU......you don't know snow or bad winters. It'll be 60 there in 2 days and all that shit will be gone. We've have snow on the ground for over 2 months here.

just came back from Akron, drove through Columbus to do so...you don't have shit compared to them.

I'm right there with you... I live in Texas for a reason. If I'm not wearing shorts and a tee shirt I'm fucking miserable.

I just drove to Canton Friday evening in that last storm we got then went from there to out east of pittsburgh where they have several feet of snow. Ours started to melt some these last couple of days. I see some grass out in the backyard for the first time in months.

We have more than columbus has.

I'm actually surprised at how fast this white plague is melting from our streets here in NYC.... of course our sanitation dept actually runs around putting all the snow in dumptrucks and melting it all down. though they only do that on major streets. Even on local streets like mine the snow is pretty much gone.

Not that i'm complaining. I'm hoping for a healthy rain to get rid of the salt so I can start playing with my hawk again.

You know some of those "climate change scientists" are saying that cooling is part of global warming. That this is just temporary and the overall trend is still toward warming even now....

My opinion??? There is a GIANT ball of gas burning so hot that it's flame can be seen millions of light years away. A ball that will get hotter and hotter till it gets so hot that it explodes and consumes the earth entirely. A ball of gas that could at any moment send out a blast of electromagnetic radiation so strong that all electronics on earth would fail..... you know the one I'm talking about....

The sun??? maybe you've heard of it? It's not some stable constant in the science of climatology. It drives weather on this rock and to think that humans can have some sort of influence over the weather when actions of a ball of fire millions of times the size of our planet are so significant..... it's just arrogant on the part of humans.

I hate all the snow crap in Texas cuz these idiots don't know how to drive in it. Every time the weather suggests snow may come people idiodically freak out and swarm to grocery stores to stock up on can foods! Really? Like the Dallas area is going to be stormed in.... These people are stupid.
