We drank a bottle at the football game last week. Tastes like shit but FUUUUUCKS you up! I just noticed.....yours is 70 proof and mine was 110 proof. Are there different kinds?

that's 70%/volume which equals 140 proof. i took 3 shots of it once and it didn't do anything for me? maybe me expectations were too high, and maybe, just maybe, i was too drunk already, the world may never know.

my bottle came from Slovakia. it is the real sh!t. just like NE98LS1 wrote - 140proof.

So, any suggestions how I should drink it? Blitzed? NE98LS1?

They do not make it like that anymore. They used to put some fucked up shit in it that was real bad for you. It used to make you halucinate. Now it just gets you really fucked up! I had 3 shots of it and a shit load of beers. Idon't remember drinking and I don't forget stuff when I get loaded!

Well if you wanna to be snobby about it you need to have a "special" glass.... or make one. in one cup you have your Absinth and above it you have a smaller cup with a tiny hole in the bottom. you fill the smaller cup with ice and wait for it to melt and drip into your Absinth..... and that is the all too proper way to enjoy your drink

as for the taste or effects, I'll let you find that out

Absinth was meant to be slightly "watered down" if you will.... keep that mind

so what, no ice? I read somewhere that you put iced water on the sugar and it drips down the absinth
