I have used turbo tax last 5 or 6 years, love it. I usually have my refund first week of February.

I would highly recommend "TAXACT.com". Set up almost identically to Turbo tax as far as walking you through the process, but MUCH cheaper. Plus, once you enter your info the first time (like TT) you don't have to reenter your information year-to-year.

Can Turbo Tax or Taxact be used for more than one person's tax return? And do you have to buy a copy of Turbo Tax or Taxact each year or can you just get annual updates for changes in Federal/State tax laws? Wal-Mart has the Turbo Tax program for $55.00 [ includes Fed and State returns ].

I use TurboTax every year & never pay for it.....it's free if you do a 1040EZ.
I do an electronic filing with a direct deposit.....takes about 7-10 days to get the refund.
    Tax Act is free too.

I’ve used the free version of turbo tax to file my federal return for the last 3 years and don’t really have any complaints.

I finally got around to filing my return yesterday. I still need to do my mom’s but I’ll get to that tomorrow.

I been using it for the last 6 years. Very simple and Electronic filing for state here is only 19.95
I did 6 peoples taxes this year with the same software and the only thing I have to pay for is the electronic filing for state for each one.
I always itemize because of house school and a ton of interest that I pay. I buy the Deluxe version of turbo tax.
Never tried Tax Act I will sure give it a try.
