Getting out of trans am mode into deer mode this hunting thing seems just as expensive and time consuming but good times!!!!

I seen an 11-13 pointer the other day on way to work. But it is only bow season round here, and who the hell wants to do that. Give me a rifle or give me death, amirite?

bow season> than all other seasons

it doesn't have to be expensive unless you make it that way. Depends on how much you want to spend. If you buy all new state of the art stuff it can get expensive but if you buy used gear and use common sense on some stuff it's not that bad. Don't buy a scent lock suit.....you can do just fine with home made scent control and common sense. I normally keep my clothes in a paper sack with baking powder and pine needles. I will buy some earth scent to spray on my hat, face, hands, and stuff like that. I've also killed many deer without doing a single thing. I'll also buy a cheap bag of apples and cut them in half and rub on my boots.

If you bow hunt you better have a range finder.

No you don't just count off different spots from where you are hunting and then you should have a great idea of yardage you have

a range finder comes in way more handy with a rifle than a bow......I can look and tell you pretty much what 20-30 yards looks like but I can't eyeball 300 yards.

hey i dont want to say range finders are not handy as hell to have but if you dont want to spend the money you dont have to people have been killing stuff with bows and arrows for a long time now with out range finders. like i always say about hunting deer just be happy you are in the woods doing something you love not everyone can or will do something like this consider your self lucky and do the best you can!!

forget the range finder... get a deer seeking arrow with a explosive tip that butchers, cooks and neatly bags the venison for you...

This is one of the things I use to get one of my friends all riled up about hunting. He's so easy, all I have to do is say 'hunting is not a sport' and he starts sputtering and choking. It's really quite funny. And he falls for it every year!

I say "you sit in a tree, in camo, waiting for the deer to wander by innocently..." I'll have to add "with a range finder..."

When he tracks the deer and fights it knife to antler, I'll be impressed...
