I think that most of the stuff to be discussed has been already, and people Google things now. Looks like this site, and others, are a fraction of their former selves.

Times... they be a changing. Again
First chat disappeared. Then everyone started up on facebook. Then all the twits started tweeting. etc... etc... etc... Things just change. In my lifetime, I've seen communications change dramatically. From rotary dial to push button, to cordless to cell phones and then came the still ever changing internet communications abilities. Hell, when I was a kid, facetime and skype was something we watched on the Jetsons right after watching the Flintstones Technology continues to change how we live and communicate with others
It was a lot of fun while this site was at it's peak though

2000 Trans-Am- 2007 Silverado 2500HD LTZ
The Train used to move pages an hour (if you're viewing this b.b.s. at the default settings). Some of our more feisty members got perma-banned. Leg-humpers scared away a lot of the female posters. Then there was the great regional forum war, many casualties. Enter the internet meme trolls, which forced a re-structuring of government. They introduced a subscription based forum which divided us even further. I guess chat didn't have enough support. I don't have facebook, but if that's the reason this board has gone silent, then let's unite and destroy it.

FB isn't very active from what I remember. There are a lot of members subscribed to it though. FB, like most fades, has become more annoying than good.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Hey I just got a facebook a few weeks back. And when my grade school kids come over, they think it's neat to use the antique rotary phone. Yep, still works, even when the power goes out. It must weigh 7 pounds!

I had facebook for a couple of months and quickly found out that people are boring so I deleted the account. Do I really need to know every boring ass thing about someone I haven't seen in 20 years? Pretty much everyone that got in touch with me was someone I didn't really want to hear from so I deleted the account and haven't looked back.

I'll add that as people move to the newer cars their interests change as well. 5th Gen has been out now for 5 yrs, some moving up to a Vette or worst selling their toys.
Some will come back. Hopefully the site is still here when ppl renew their interest in 4th Gens again. But by then they'll be thinking why I gave it up, now it's too damn expensive to buy

I'm going to hand down my nick and password on here when I hand down the car to Zach. He's got mighty big shoes to fill.....not everyone is as cool and badass as I am. Except maybe Zapper....he's pretty cool and badass too but he looks like Zach Galafanakis and the Zac Brown band had a baby and named him Zapper so he's not quite as cool as I am.

The most important thing is that this site is still here, one of the very few that was not sold out to internet brands, and has a plethora of information for those that seek it. Not to mention, while some have gone on to other things, we still have a great group of good people around here willing to help those in need of answers. LS1.com is still a great place to be

He's a Cowboy's fan from Alabama....I let him get away with those because it's obvious he has nothing else going for him.
You posting in this thread reminded me of another reason traffic isn't what it once was. Guys like you and Sarge get so frigin old you forget the site is here.
