    THE Superbowl Thread

So...quite a few teams I had pegged to win or go to the Superbowl have recently decided to go the way of the dodo bird...

Any predictions on who makes it and who doesnt?

Seattle looks smoking hot right now...they look like the same team that blasted Denver last year.

Dallas looked REALLY good this past weekend...Could have sworn I saw Troy Aikman throwing passes to Irvin but I could be wrong...

The Patriots are the Patriots...cant ever really count them out.

Denver is falling apart so I say they are out at this point and Cincinatti is all of the sudden turning a corner.

    Seattle vs Patriots...

Did Brett Farve, Tom Brady or Peyton Manning?

The difference between Romo and the 3 guys you listed is that he may not ever get back to the Superbowl...

You honestly think Manning has many yrs left? He's been around much longer than Romo, since 1998 vs Romo's 2006. I don't count Romo's 3 yrs sitting on the bench waiting as active playing.

man would that be a bold and interesting move...I keep hearing that he's going to buy the Titans...I have no idea where that rumor started or how it started, but I hear his name like 4 or 5 times a week. Apparently he's buddies with somebody who is looking at acquiring them and he has said that he'll put up some $$$ to join in on the deal.

I'm taking the Seaducks. They've peaked at the right time when Chancellor & Wagner returned from injury.

I don't either - but what I do count is his severe back injuries. Manning didn't have that severe of an injury that early in his career.

    Time will tell.

That was my thinking as well...those back injuries are only going to get worse as he gets older. We saw this year that even the slightest hit can send him out of a game...I think he should retire in all honesty. At this point he'll have issues walking when he's older...but if he doesnt quit soon he'll be in a wheel chair or in a bed.

the problem with the seahawks lies on the offensive side of the ball. Both denver and new england have much improved D's and both have much better offenses. That's why I think either of those teams will win against seattle if they make the superbowl. What happened to arizona with their QB situation is a damn shame......with a decent QB they would've been my pick on the NFC side. Green Bay is still in the talk I guess but on the road in seattle is too much for them. The cowboys won't make it either.....it's only a matter of time before the hammer drops on them.

Well - the Ducks did manage 35 points against one of the best defenses in the NFL. Granted - since their 3rd string QB was in the game, their D was on the field A LOT more than they should've been - they just got wore down.

How many touches did Marshawn Lynch have...? 6 or 7? Seahawks will be the team to beat in my opinion...especially if they are playing a team with a drop back passer. Denver's offense is falling off right now. Manning is not throwing the ball as good as he usually does and they are having to use 3rd and 4th string RB's because of injuries. Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman have been out for quite a while now...

New England vs Seattle would be a great game in my opinion. I'd really like to see what Tom Brady, Blount, Gronk, and Lafell can do against the Seahawks defense.
