I wear Ray-Bans. They are expensive but they do cut down on the glare.
Make sure you get Polarized Lenses.Black 1999 Blown Convertible A4

I'm willing to spend the money but I would like to see them before I bought them, and the closest place to me is the sunglass hut in the mall 75 miles away.

Ray bans are good, most are glass lenses that resist scratching, as opposed to plastic or polycarbonate- but glass is heavier. I like the polorized Hobies, good for cutting glare. The brown shades act more like the "blue-blocker" lenses, cutting the blue scatter and haze.
Love Revo's but they are pricey. Still, anything that is good enough for astronauts must be good stuff.
Keep 'em in the case when you're not wearing them, and don't leave expensive sunglasses in plain sight. Some jerk would be tempted to rip them off.
Cheap good sunglasses? Let me know if you find them. Sunglass hut has some specials- another place to look is Campmor.com, check their specials- you can sometimes find Bolle or Hobies for 40 or 50 bucks- Nikon is another good name, but I prefer the glass polarized over the polycarbonate- again, glass weighs more, but resists getting scratched. Another nice feature is the spring-loaded temples, helps them grip your face and not slide down your nose. If you go in boats with expensive eyewear, wear a leash- ask me how I know!

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
I wear the cheapest motherfuckers I can find.
If I spend over $7 on a pair of sunglasses I sit on them within the week.
But the $5 pair lasts 4 years.
Go figure.

hey 40oz, I'm concerned about how easily they are gonna be scratched, cause I have been through 3 pairs of cheaps glasses this summer cause I'll hook them on my pocket when i'm workin outside on a vehicle or somethin and take them off to see in poorly lit spots and then have them fall off of my pocket and scratch when they hit the ground

You'll be fine if you don't hook them on your pocket.
I wear mine as saftey glasses for christ sake.
Oakely's glasses come with a bag to carry them in and the bag is made out of a special material that you clean the lenses with-DON'T clean the lenses with anything except the bag.
Plus if they get scratched real bad i'm pretty sure you can buy new lenses for around $30 i think. It's the frame that makes them so expensive.
I've had mine for 3 years and they're still good.

Oh and you get a warranty on the frame.
If you drop your glasses and snap the arm or something, you take them back and they'll give you a new pair.
I don't think the warranty covers the lenses though.

1997 Grand Cherokee- 1999 Firebird.
I spent $280 on a pair of Maui Jims, went back the next day and got a pair of $150 Maui Jim Sports, went back the day after and got a pair of $150 Oakleys which I took back because of a scratch and exchanged them for a pair of $170 Ray Bans which I gave to a friend a few days later. I bought a cheap pair of sunglasses at Wal Mart when I got my motorcycle because I didn't want to scratch the Jims and it seems those cheapies are the only thing I wear anymore. Go figure.

I haven't wore a pair of sunglasses since I was a teenager... never really though about it until now! Maybe I should get a pair!
