i have a stupid question. what is a mod marker? what are they for and why are they always locked? just wandering.

Everything above the mod marker hasn't been reviewed by a moderator, while every thread below the mod marker has been reviewed by a moderator. It keeps the mods from having to read every single thread in that particular forum. Its closed to keep people from intervening with business, so to speak.
