Stupid Dating Question

I know this may come across as being a really dumb question, but here goes.
Where the hell do late 20 somethings early 30 somethings go to actually meet people? I know in my early 20s I just went to the shore area bars had a blast and met a ton of people my age. Now that I am in my late 20s though I really don't want to be around the 21-25 crowd. I don't want to try the online dating sites. So where does everyone here in that age group go?

where the 17-49 year old age group goes... just find a bar that caters to geriatric needs of those in your age group

haha who cares about legally... a bar would let a 15 year old in as long as they knew they were going to spend money... ive been going to bars and clubs in manhattan since i was 17 and have only been turned down less than 10 times

Depends what type of bar... around here if your over 18 but under 21 they draw two big X's on the back of your hands with a black sharpie before you can go in. Then you enter with you hands in your pockets, sit down at the table and under the table rub off the ink (and most of your skin) and then get your friend to buy you a drink.

I also don't think its fair... the university my girlfriend goes to is about four times the size of mine, and she was telling me how she can just walk straight into 21+ bars/clubs without the doorman even blinking an eye...

thats how some of the bars by my school are... a lot of the bars in the city too...

karoke <sp? bars.. those little hole in the wall bars. not really the "club" with the booty shaking music.. you know.. the pubs..

They're all married at that age. The only ones left are the 21-25 and 35+ group. From 21-25 they're drinking and getting drunk and married, that 10 year grey area is where they all realize that being married sucks a fat one and then when they get to 35, they become single again at the bars/bingo halls etc.
