Stolen AC Cobra

Greetings Guys and Gals,

Just wanted to drop a line and put the word out that locally an AC Cobra was stolen along with the 24 foot trailer it was in.

This Cobra belongs to a friend that owns a Local Powder Coating Facility.
The Cobra is Burgundy, it is a Kit Car but extremely Heavily Modified.
This car was only shown once after being Completed only 1 month ago.

The Thieves went to the Maximum to Steal this Trailer/Car Combo.
They Disconnected the Hitch from his Truck then Hooked up to the Truck dragging it sideways smashing a fender up. After dragging the truck clear of the trailer they backed up to it and Pulled it away.

The owner is very Upset as this Car has been in the Works for about three Years. This is the Only Worlds 4 Cylinder Cobra. The Current Motor is one of two that John Lingenfelter built while Drag Racing his S10 and Cavalier. This motor is the one John was Driving when he had his Crash that put him in a Coma. The 4 Cylinder Develops 1250 RWH, and can be tuned at the touch of a dial to 3 settings, 500 RWH, 800 RWH, and wide open at 1250 RWH.

Please keep an eye out, or an Ear. I'm sure there will be a Reward Offered. I hope to have pictures to post, the Trailer was New and Plain White with a Fold Down Door. No Markings whatsoever. The Cobra....Well it was Burgundy and we all know what they look like.

It was stolen by someone he knows, that is how it works people see learn the setup and plan plan plan this was not a fly by night. I would looking for someone who I would see often the sec that dude is not around there is a good chance he did it....than when you find him....

Heres what i dont understand about stealing something as high profile as that.

That shit is going overseas...
It's in a container somewhere.. Going to some slavia something or other..Uzbekistan or Opec Nation... At least that's what I would do.. Too high profile to chop and part out. Engine alone would get ya busted.
Not that I know anything about that sort of stuff.. Just what I read et cetera.

Obviously whomever stole this knew what your friend had in the trailer. He has only had it for one month. How often did he take it out for a spin? Hire a private investigator to go the shop that worked on this car....Just a hunch. Keep an eye out oon Craigslist and Ebay or other classifieds. 3 years of hard work to have some jealous person(s) take it from you. Hope you guys track it down!

That Motor I actually understated the Power, it's 1650 and did make a Run down the Strip at Indy, (De-Tuned) so many others seen it as well. The Base Motor can be bought from GM for somewhere just over $25,000. The Guy that owned the Car I also found out bought both of the Modified LPE Versions.

My thoughts are the Thieves wanted nothing more than the Drive Train, the Rest is probably ashes in a fire pit.
