Fillets are so damn expensive. I usually get a nice cut and add a little (barely any) seasoning, pepper, salt, and I'm good to go. Medium rare, I like it bloody.

By the way, I dip it in sour cream. It's a nice taste.

    Anyone else use mushrooms, too?

i like a good 3" thick filet... they usually cost me about 18 - 26 per steak... yeah... they are fucking expensive... but i get mine custom cut from a butcher...

i like to use a little butter and a little oil in on a sheet of foil... charcoal and not propane grill... i put (portabella)mushrooms and (vadalia)onions around the steak... i cook it till it's a bit past rare (steaks keep cooking after they are off the grill)...

when all is said and done i got a good MR steak and vegies... some salt and i'm sete to watch the speed channel...

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

Delmonico steak in olive oil/vinegar with light garlic powder, Rosemary seed and Mrs. Dash Steak blend, 3 minutes each side on low-medium heat. Makes the center juicey/pink-only flip it only once.
I top it with sautéd portabellas and hot peppers w/ garlic.

    i'm not denying, but I'd rather eat 4 delmonico's a month than 1 filet

I get that steer in a head lock....throw his ass in the fire to burn off some hide just enough so I can get a good bite and rip some of that meat off....maybe some A1 from time to time....
