Spartacus: Blood and boobs (what it SHOULD be called)

did anybody catch this show? i just finished it on netflix and i was unsure at first but my wife and i got in to it and it really wasn't that bad... it was done rather like 300 with that over used CGI/comic book style look. the story was good and there was crazy gladiator battles along with hot naked hot chicks EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME! if you have netflix i would suggest checking it out. they were going to do a 2nd season but the guy that played sparacus has cancer and can't play the role. they have a new season that is a prequel and it seems just as good as the first.

anyway, just thought i would toss that out.. enjoy!

The best damn series on cable ever.

They are now in a mini series. Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.

It's a mini- prequel that was made while the lead actor was getting treatments. They are beginning to film season 2 with a new actor that will replace the first one. He got some type of cancer.

I added the first season to my netflix queue, I couldn't finish the first episode.. not because of gore or tits or any of that, but because the graphics and acting was just terrible. it was like some college kids got together and decided to make a low budget show out of the 300 movie. I enjoyed the Tutors more than this.

i felt the same way at first but it does get better... you just have to make it past the first 2 or 3 episodes....

Watched the whole season in a couple days while I was deployed. Acting is meh, but it was cool fights with naked women. Better than everything else I had to look at. Following Gods of the Arena on tv now.

Been watching since day 1 and love it. Sucks Andy Whitfield wont be returning. Season 2 will be interesting to see if and how the freed gladiators will survive.

Only seen the first episode. I really enjoyed weeds, dexter and californication off netflix.

Dex is one of my top shows, thought I'd hate it but by the end of the second episode I was hooked.

the show really gets good in Episode 6. After that its pretty much game on. The last episode is just so F'k Yeah!

Yea I don't think it'll survive a re-cast for more than a season unfortunately.

watched the whole season one with in 24 hours.. nice. i just got netflix because of that, so i have a lot more shows to watch.

This show is the sole reason i even signed up for netflix. I am extremely disappointed that Andy Whitfield won't be returning as Spartacus, and that I don't have Starz to keep up with the new season once it starts. They have been pretty good with putting each new episode of the mini-series on netflix the day after it airs, though. Maybe they will do the same. This show quickly became my favorite ever. I really feel like I won't even want to watch it with Whitfield not playing Spartacus.
