Son Of A
Bitch!!!!!
Just washed my phone. Heard some clucking going on in the washer, first thought my wallet. Then I relized it was my phone. I pulled it out and detached the battery, sim card and my memory card am now in the process of drying it and hoping it works when its dry. Sad thing is I just got it working right again after it got wet a few weeks ago when I was at disney with my GF. It rained like crazy and it got wet it acted funny for a week or so and been fine ever since, now this. I think im screwed on this one. Good news is I only have a month till my upgrade is available.

So yeah i'm 99.9% sure its toast. So i was planing on getting the iphone 3gs in another month anyways. My question is has anyone got one recently when they were availiable for an upgrade from ATT? How much was it? On there site its $399 for the 16gb and $499 for the 32gb but not sure if its any cheaper when im availiable for an upgrade. Don't want to waste money if I can just suck it up for a month with no phone if I can save a hundred or two hundred when i have an upgrade. Plus i'm sure one of my friends probably has an old pos phone I can use for a month.

If you make enough noise and have been a customer in good standing up until now, odds are you can get it free (if they offer it for free for new customers) by telling them you'll switch networks so you can get a comparable phone from thier competitor.

Dude I did the same thing you did, all you have to do is put all those parts in the sun out side or in a window sill, put a fan blowing on the phone and every hr or so flip the phone. It turned on later that night for me and had no problems. You couldn't even tell it had washed it except for the fact it was super shiney and perdy too!!!! good luck buddy

Take it put it in a jar of rice and let sit for 2 days, rice will draw the water out. It should work unless the battery or phone got messed up from all the tumbling

If you would have just let it go to spin cycle it would have dried itself out.

Yeah thats what i'm thinking if no one has a spare around. Oddly enough the last time I was due for an upgrade I droped my phone and broke it but my gf at the time had her old razor around and I used that for the month untill my upgrade. Its really kind of weird now that I think of it cause this is twice now.

I have the iPhone 3G-S... Well actually... I don't have it... It has already been shipped back to Apple for hardware repairs ... But seriously it's a great phone and I love it (other than the fact that I had to ship the damn thing back) I have service everywhere that I didn't with my old phone(s)... The only bad thing is that I only got to use it for about a week before I had to ship it back though

You should put it in the dryer. Makes sense because of where it got wet in the first place.
