Soccer anybody?

i know it's not that big over in the states, although people tell me it's gaining popularity. anyway, european championships are on and germany just won the semi finals against turkey an hour ago. everybodys going totally crazy now. turks and germans, cos we have a huge turkish community in hamburg. the whole city is full of honking cars with flags, people partying in the streets, absolut mayhem!

i both watch, play and also play it on video games LOL, very exciting sport, at any time the game could change.

i played a bit as a kid, never got into watching. but that changed when my girlfriend got soccer-crazy during the 2006 world championships.
an m-ten: i know the movie, great flic. the brits are even crazier than the germans about soccer, but we have that hooligan scene here in germany, too. the areas around the stadiums become war zones, it's crazy!

and yes, honking was the main theme last night, the turks here where in a sort of win/win situation and the germans where going wild too, for obvious reasons. we went out too after the game. broke the horn on my girlfriends explorer after 5 minutes, switched cars and continued. always have a spare horn with a car attached to it...

i like switzerland, pretty expensive place though. last time i stayed in bonaduz and at the lago maggiore on the way to milan, two years ago. of zürich unfortunately i only know the airport.
