Question So was there really a factory ls6 in a ss/ws6?

I thought I heard a member on here saying that they had one
in a ss, I remember seeing something about it on the american muscle car show on speed a long time ago also.

Their were numerous 2001 & 2002 SS's outfitted with various LS6 components with the main hardware simply being the manifold.

My 2001 Hardtop SS had a full-on true LS6 motor with changes in the MAF, TB & tuning.

It had gone through SLP as a wierd kind of experimental.

It was most identified by the *Bullseye* imprint on the door sticker.

Of course some of the jealous azz shit talk'n welchers here will forever be in debt for the bet they made ...

The SS can still be seen by it's new owner and I will give you the VIN which can easily be verified through SLP ...

    So does this look familiar?

For the sake of argument, suppose that your camaro really did have an ls6, how did the acceleration compare in the camaro as opposed to the z06? jus out of curiosity. Curious as to how the weigh disparities, gearing and aerodynamics factor.

LS6 block? No LS6 cam or heads? Whats the difference between a LS6 block and a LS1 block?

I have a 2004 Z06 now ... I would blow the doors off my old SS ... but not by much.

windows in the lifter galleries for less crankcase pressure and windage. the blocks arent as significant as the head and cam differences are. The ls6 is a pretty hot motor.
