So i started smoking today...

Ok so i really didnt start... I have a cigarette every once in a while and i enjoy the occasional cigar, but lately ive been trying to settle into my habits a bit and refine them into more enjoyable xperiences (like im looking for a good beer at the moment too)... so i decided i was gonna try a pipe...

Only smoked a bowl through it so far, but i must say... Its alot better than a cigar to me... alot cooler and smells soooooo much better... I still definately need to get the piper broke in and the tobacco i started out with is ok, but its deffinately not my perfect blend... BUT, i think for my occassional sit down and relax type smoke... ive made a good choice...

i agree - why start? just really about the stupiest thing i ever did (ok maybe on eof many) but i am forever trying to quit - so is most people who do smoke - so why start???

come and meet my parents... they are both in the end stages of emphysema and have both been inches from death several times... my father is in a nursing home at the age of 66 because he cannot even walk more than a few steps even on O2.

woah woah woah... its my opininon that tobacco, like every other vice on the planet, can be used to improve life without adversly affecting it... this it not an every day thing... not even an every week thing... like i said i enjoy the occasional cigarette (which are terrible for you) and cigar... simply going to a pipe wont make me a "smoker"... i actually just thought there might be some noncigarette smokers in here that could help me out and could well not tell me i was gonna die from it... because no offence to you guys, but with my lifestyle lung cancer has no hope with me... beer... or "hold my beer and watch this"... will get me LONG b4 the occasional smoke...

May I suggest a Goose Island IPA, or an Arrogant Bastard, or Hop Ottin IPA, or Bells Two Hearted, or Three Floyds Alpha King, or North Coast's Old Rasputin, or Stone's Runination IPA for some good beers. Don't believe that any yellow, fizzy mass produced pilsner (aka Bud, Killians, Millers or worse) will improve your sex life. Smoking won't help things either. I guess an occaisional cigar or pipe isn't bad, but not the f'ing cigarettes.

It would be great in moderation (like alcohol), but the thing is it's as addicting as crack. There's no stopping when the addiction overshadows your will power! Smoker for 4 years.

ive smoked on and off since i was 18... ive never had trouble quiting... (i know someone is gonna say but you might this time...) but honestly lets break it down... i have to walk 100+ yards to smoke at work... i hate the cold and pretty much anywhere in AR you have to smoke outside unless its yrou house... and smoking a pipe is about the equivalent of making cappicino from whole wole beans... Yeah in the end its a better experience for you with the foam and sprinkles... but is it worth it every frigging morning... oh hell no...

and all of yall that are saying NOOOO DONT DO IT... dont enjoy a cigar with a game of poker?
