Looked at 2nd gen Vipers last night (I really need ABS, power steering, power window, A/C, and so forth) 2001 and up are just too expensive. I would think they would have dropped more than they have with gas the way it is.

Im prolly gonna pick up a bike, but i just ahve to get the motivation to do so. and it will be like a ducati or triumph.

If i did an older car i want a 78 trans am... but I dont know if im ready to do that much work to one.

And no im not bent on GM... It is all ive owned so far... but what is a good merc?

and in that case im guessing you are compairing a 1098S to an R6... which are closer to $10k... and a bike is meant for the twisties not the straghts... so how does that $10k R6 hold up in the twisties to the Duc with ohlin shock, macasini wheels, and a load of tourque...

and you aint gonna out run a 1098 with out stepping up to an R1... and thats closer to $12k... which is mighty close to the 1098's $14k price tag... and i would rather have the Duc... I was riding a budy of mines like 2 weeks ago and people wer awwing at the thing while it was leaking gas and oil all over the pavement and i was trying to put a bolt back int he kickstand... and its a dam 2001 850 moster thats worth about $3k...
