Smith and Wesson 500
So I just got my AR 15, and my AB-10. I'm at the range screwin around. Got the AR sighted in and was keepin nice groups. as were about to pack up this other guy shows up with an AR just like mine...So I go down and chat, he had just traded a Rem 700 for his rifle, and the S&W...well I didn't know about the handgun till he got it out of the truck. I asked if he was about to shoot it...he said no, you are.
Well I'm thinkin hell yeah.
for those of you who dont know...this is a 50 cal handgun, with a 440 gr projectile. the equivalent of 8 of my AR rounds...anyway, my buddy video tapes it, and like the description says, I wasn't quite ready for it to go off. yeah
the round we shot was on the far left...300 gr hornady...my budy shot a 440 gr cor-bon from the same gun....$4 a round

cool you got to shoot the s&w but damn whats with the girly stance for shooting, square up your shoulders lean into it a little and you won't look like such a pussy shooting it.

reminds of the scene in pulp fiction where jules and vincent go to go blow away brett and his crew and the guy comes out of the bathroom with the big revolver shoots 6 shots and misses with everyone.
Do you see the size of that gun? It was bigger then him

So that bullet was in the gun you fired? WTF??!! That's a helluva round, but then again, that gun you had looks like a Colt Python.

Those 500's are a beast of a gun, my boss has one for bear protection. Rounds are expensive though

I was just looking at the pics again, the bullet on the far left of the first pic actually a 454 Magnum. the one in my hand is the 50 AE we shot. so its actually bigger, lol...just compare it to the size of my palm...i have average sized hands.
his two boxes were $80 for 20...but i found stuff online for half that...still high though

screw the 500 and go for the 460 the flatest most accurate shooting revolver made. and put a burris scope on it. talk to many guys that have both and they said they wish they never bought the 500, i have only shoot the 460. but held both and the 460 balance in your hand better. but still both awesome guns

People think "bigger is better" and that is just flat out bullshit. A well placed 9MM or 380 is deadlier than a wild shot from a .50 cal any day of the week. Now for bears (been there done that)....you better bring the house....I hit a Grizzly in Canada with a .308 from 50 yards and it pissed him off....we all emptied our magazines before he came down...and there was 4 of us with 7.62's/30.06 and one 300 WinMag....Bear taste like shit IMHO...

The 500 has the heavier bullet but that is all. The 460 is the better pistol in all aspects. As far as recoil goes, both are very tame when compared to the scandium framed .357 mags and .44 mags. Shoot one of those and your wrist will be like
I'm shopping for a 460 now.
