if you go to a reputable place, they teach you. first few jumps will be with someone well trained. Its like that first big drop when riding a roller coaster, only for alot further. all i can say is try it. its definately an experience.
That, or go bungee jumping somewhere.

Im doing it in about 2 weeks if plans stay together.
Why would someone NOT want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane?

hahaha i like how you said "if i do survive", like only 50% of people who do it live
a girl in the office just did it a few weeks ago. . . shes says that once you jump out, you feel like you fallin for a few seconds then it feels like your floating. she said the worst part is when the parachute opens and pulls you "up" hard (which its actually slowing you down).

aww my mom has to take a pill when we get on a plane so dont feel bad, happens to alot of people!
i was thinking about that, it really seems like it yanks u up when the parachute opens. i just looked at "facts" and 30 people die a year from skydiving accidents out of the 350,000 people that jump and those people had 1 million jumps all together. they compared it to cars where you have a 1 in 6,000 chance of being in a fatal accident driving a car every time you drive. but i feel like when i drive im not lookin to die, jumpin from 15k ure kinda like laughin at god testing him to see if ur nunber is up... i dont wanna test no body lol...

Pewter- 2001 Camaro Z28 M6
do it, its one of the best rushes ever,if not the best...
your first jump you have two options:
-tandem, tied to a pro jumper, and you experience free fall
-static line, as you jump the chute is pulled and you dont experience the freefall.
most places make you jump 3-5 times tandem before jumping on your own.

I am remembering the chick who went skydiving with her husband and the chute didn't deploy til 100ft and she landed on her face. She survived but man I SO do not envy her. She has screws and plates holding her face together. Still good looking but this sh1t is too damn risky.

that will be my next big adventure/thrill.
normal skydiving would have nothing on doing that.

it is. Definately alot riskier than just skydiving. but the thrill of it would just be awesome. hell, even just normal basejumping from 300 to 400ft up would be a thrill. not much time to pull that chute though
