Now that I got your attention...
the other day she was riding her bike in Austin, big biking city and she is a hardcore byciclist... she was on a long ride on her $8,000 Pinarello when from behind her she got ran over by a car...
the car kept driving and did not stop... luckily she was alright but heavily bruised... bleeding from a few places... head wound that cracked her helmet and busted the guys windshield...
her bike is screwed because its a carbon fiber frame and the rear fork snapped and the rear tires demolished...
so if you are in the austin area look out for a white taurus with busted windshield being repaired... still has dealer tags on it...
here is a pic of the wreck

so what would yall do... stop and help? or flee worried about getting in trouble for hitting her...

For a bike you can pick up with your little finger. I'm suprised it doesn't have disk brakes for that price though.

I would have stopped even if it was 100% my fault. It's the human (re: correct) thing to do.

$8,000 seems like a TON for a bike... yea its light, but i mean... thousands of dollars to save a couple pounds?

ok you got to understand... she literally rides around 100 miles a day... some of these people that ride these bikes do not own any cars or anything.. ride bike to work... etc... live in downtown... work in downtown... live in condos across street from grocery store... its a way of life... keeps you fit too that bike is not even expensive as the really good ones... and as for disc brakes... those arent too common on the really nice bikes... just mountain bikes etc...

Why get a Les Paul when you can play the same songs on a Fender Strat?
