Single season receiving touchdown record
Let's hear your opinions on it............will Randy Moss break this record?
If Randy ties/breaks the record, does it really matter? (Rice's number came from 12 games)

Rice is the standard that all receivers will be measured against for a long time to come. Moss will probably break the record, but no one will care.

there seems to be a lot of long standing records being broke lately... Why do you think that is happening???

Exactly, with everyone now doing these things records will be broken. The great ones from the past didnt have near the technologly. Hell look at Babe Ruth. That fat fuck smoked 20 cuban cigars a day, and ate everything in sight. Or Wilt Chamberlain he road from game to game on a shittyass bus back in the day. Now the players fly around on private jets get catered to hand and foot.

But like this record ... The defenses have all new this and thats and yadda yadda stuff too.. Pats 'should' break the perfect season record .. Yet your average athlete now days is better than most Superstars of 20 years ago ...

I hear ya. Not a Moss fan myself.
Amazing how he can go from washed up in Oakland to record holder in NE.

Jerry did it in 12, so when Moss, Harrison, T.O. or anyone else does it in 12 or under I will be impressed. The league also did not "cater" to recievers like they do now back when he did it also.

Athletes now have better trainers, and weight lifting programs. Growing up, all these players wanted to be like Rice and Elway, or whoever. Nobody wanted to be a defensive superstar. So they focused on offense their whole life and therefore you have better offensive players today....maybe?
