Signal boosters / amplifiers for cable and interne
So I've got some fairly long runs in my cable, and the previous owner/Comcast did a lousy job of having it set up. Good quality cable, but too many splitters and too much excess cable.
Now that it's cooling down somewhat, I'm going to get up in the attic and correctly run the splitters (and boosters?) with some high quality stuff. But I have a few questions...
Where should the boosters be placed? Before a splitter? Or after? What is the optimal split path for best internet service and maintaining a quality HD picture?
I was thinking it would be something like this:
Booster overkill? Wrong splitter placement? Help!

Outside cable to attic amplifier, single cable from amplifier to all rooms except the cable modem room. Run a splitter after the amplifier & make two cables off the splitter run to that room. (you'll need two separate jacks in that room)
