Green- 94 Camaro 3.4
I posted it on that thread, and I'm gonna post it on this one too......
Hmmmm...
Well, I would think "Car of the Year" would imply getting to know what is done to the car too... Its not called "Car Pic of the Year" you know? Just my opinion... I think each entry should get one(or 2) pics, and a predetermined amount of space to write a discription/mod list. And then we get to pick what one we like the best, period.
If we are going to nominate LS1.com's COTY you gotta go more than skin deep... COTY based on just looks?
Thats so...... ricer.........
Don't hate me for saying it, but that what I think.

Also, COTY should be only up for COTM winners.
I can see both sides to the appearance/modified thing. "Car Of The Year" embodies "What is LS1.com for this year?", to me. I believe both should be considered, and both should be a basis for your vote. It's like when you vote for a public office candidate, it's their image and which one seems to fuck up less.

This is pretty much exactly how we do car of the month right now. The only difference being the write up is focused more on the story behind the car but there's also a mod list. Read the last 3 months of COTM winners and see if that's what you were talking about. Car of the year would be a contest between those entire packages. Pics, mod list, and write up.

I do, but not being able to enter a picture negates you from entering in the contest anyway...

in that example lets say they have pics of everything except the engine bay? Now, since we're letting mods factor into the decision are AFR heads worth any more points than Patriots? What about comp cams vs lunati? I just think the more of the mods you can leave out of the decision the better. This is more for COTM than COTY. Once you win cotm then these should probably all play a little factor into the coty decision. cotm I think works better if people look at the picture and creativity only. It's something that people can see right in front of them and it helps to level the playing field.

COTY is a good idea, I think picture quality is a big factory. Background, lighting, placement...
