Black- 79 Trans Am
Could not disagree more I love the current retro styling of the cars. Where I think GM made a mistake is making the style off of a 69 camaro. I think a retro style based on the 2nd generation platform suits it's self much better for meeting today's safety and design requirements.

The Gen 5 Camaro is more 67-68 than 69. The ONLY thing it has in common with the 69 is the gills in front of the rear tires.
Does the Gen 5 have the three light rear? No.
Does the Gen 5 have the body line starting top of the front wheel goigng through the door? No.
Does the Gen 5 have the body line starting at the top of the rear wheel going through the quarter? No.
You are right, they should have made the Gen 5 based off the 2nd gen because they are both fucking heavy as hell. lol

I like it. Much better over all look than the 5th gen. I don't like the chunkiness of the 5th gen. This is sleeker looking.

Bright Rally Red- 2001 Chevy Camaro Z28
Reminds me of the Pontiac Banshee concept car from back in the 90's. Don't much care for it though. Looks like something from Acura. I think GM could have done better with the 5th-gen, but that's my two cents worth on the matter.

I hear you, the Camaro looks like a real car where that thing looks like a cheap video game.
Nothing like using the widebody Corvette ducts for the rear tires and the shitty wing from the G6 coupe that is the size of a picnic table.
You are spot on. Reminds me of the one from the 60s as well.

Whether you like it or not, it's the current "look" that sells cars to new buyers of the brand. Take me as an example, I'm an old fashioned fart who likes traditional design and not the space cadet look. However, I'm in the minority who feel that way. New car buyers are younger and probably look at my rig as an out dated vehicle. Of course they're right in their thinking because they don't have any past experiences with my era's vehicle. Don't forget that any new design today will look outdated to "new" buyers in fifteen years.
BTW, I think that new look would sell like crazy and maybe even I would buy one. I definitely would not buy a new Camaro because of its look.Magnaflow Quad Tip, Lid, SBellow
