Short story and true!!
This happened at work last night (Work low income housing, Security)
As I walked through the night with only minimal lighting, I came across an apartment. As I proceeded to the door, I could hear in the distance a hissing and clawing. I was intrigued, and decided to walk around the corner and investigate further. To my surprise, I could see my enemy, clawing through garbage bags. I was only a mere 2 feet from my enemy. He stood, maybe 2 feet tall on hind legs. He wore a black and white striped camoflage, marking him as danger. I named him El Poncho, and as El Poncho and myself proceed to meet.......I take the fuck off running, yelling SKUNK, SKUNK.
That was the highlight of my night, I ended up meeting up with El Poncho around 3 times. 2 feet away without getting sprayed, fucking miracle.┌∩┐(◕_◕)┌∩┐

Come on, no love for El Poncho, hahahaha. How many people have acually came face to face with a skunk period. And then out of those people, who has made it without being sprayed.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Never encountered a skunk seeings how I grew up in the wilds of suburban Los Angeles. Came across more than a few possums (they're slow but have got a mean hiss and claws bigger than any cat) and a couple of masked bandits. That's right: a racoon! I caught them (a whole family) eating cat food I left outside for my cat.
I used to see squirrells all the time though. They liked the trees. They made the cats look foolish in the trees.Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 06-14-2008 at 08:30 PM.

Tonight I don't get to see El Poncho, I have to work a IHOP. I have seen him quite a bit the last 5 or so days. Thats why I decided to name him. Also seen a family of coons in the garbage bins. That was only once so I have been lucky. It was hilarious, the last time of the night I saw El Poncho, he scared the shit out of me so I was pissed. I grabbed the biggest stick I could find, hit him with my flashlight and proceeded to try to hit him (throwing the stick). He took off and didn't want any part of me, but I chased his ass. I missed him with the stick, but didn't see him again. I had balls that time

When you walk up to the barn with nothing but a pack of Marlboro's and your dick and a Mountain Lion has dragged a fresh killed deer in there and is eating when you walk in blocking his only exit....then post up....

Yup, dodging skunks, I am going to make it a sport. I can see it now, who can get the closest and not get sprayed. I will be going round 5 with El Poncho tonight, and its my Friday so I can imagine things going wrong

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
2 ft tall... don't think so... seen many skunks... at least a few very close by... they tend to be way smaller than 2 feet.

I meant when he was on his hind legs. On all fours, he was only about....oh shit it was dark.....approx 10" or a foot tall. He was pretty massive in girth too, this fucker has a hay day on all the trash left outside so I am betting he is bigger then most you would see at the zoo. I only got a glimspe of El Poncho tonight, he was walking through the parking lot about 25 feet from me. I am going to start new threads with
"THE CHRONICALS OF EL PONCHO"
I think I am going to attempt a stun and grab. I heard if you hold them by the tail, that can't spray unless they have all 4 feet on the ground. Going to make sure first
