Sex Study, discovers women fake it

Now, an Indiana University survey published today has put some confirming data on the faked orgasm phenomenon. According to the survey's researchers, 85 percent of men said their partners climaxed during the most recent sex act, while 64 percent of women reported they actually did.

"There's this massive gap between men's perception and women's reality," says Debby Herbenick, co-author of the research and associate director at the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at the university. "It shows a lack of communication between partners, either by women faking it, or by men not asking or noticing if their partner [climaxed]."

The survey, which drew on data from nearly 6,000 participants between the ages of 14 and 94, covered a wide range of sexual behaviors, sexual health practices and sexual perceptions, and according to the center, it was the largest nationally representative survey on sexual health ever performed.

I think this is the problem right here...guys aren't really thinking hard in bed (lack of blood to the brain may play a part there) that what they perceive to be an orgasm really isn't

The article is about much more than the title and excerpt. That part is not very interesting to me, except the question it raises about whether women become more honest as they age.

Women are less likely to want sex as they get older. I was using Google for an answer to the question about age/orgasm, and surprisingly there doesn't seem to be much of a connection. Maybe it's the women who rarely or never orgasm who lose interest in sex. But like the guys in the study, I'm not that interested in what's happening to her.

I am very intrested on whats going on with my girl when we are banging. Yea random girls dont matter so much but i still aim to please. Sex is better for both i think if both are having a good time and communicate what is good and what isnt. All you guys who just say "i dont give a fuck what is happening with her as long as I'm having a good time" thinking your BA but really your just a lil bitch. Truth is when your girl gets bored of you and gets on my dick a man who actually takes care of buisness she will forget about you and your lazy sex habits. Plus as posted above it is much easier to control women when they know and want whats between your legs.

Thats sad to me. I love sex, people say its get old with time but i never had that problem. My current girlfriend and I have been going strong for 4 years with a 6 month break in there. Still have sex almost everyday. Most weeks everyday.

It matters to a lot of women when guys pay attention to their needs especially in bed. If you give her a solid orgasm, she wont forget it.

If you had a clue of what you were talking about you would know that for women its not about sex. You can be one of the worst guys in bed and have a small little dick, but if they are emotionally attached to a person, it doesnt matter how big or small a guys dick is.

Thanks. It seems to me that decades ago people were not thought of as strange for not living for sex and women in fact were condemned for promiscuity. These days the world is comparatively obsessed with sex - I saw that article mentioned on multiple news broadcasts - and I think that's bad on the whole.

For what it's worth, I do want 'my woman' (imaginary at this time) to usually enjoy it, whenever the lovin' happens.
