1997 Grand Cherokee- 1999 Firebird.
Seriously thinking about parting out my car. Opinions?
I've had it with this damn thing. It needs a fuel pump and both headlight motors and a power antenna motor and a drivers side window motor and both front foglight/turnsignal pods. I'm not putting another dime into it. The motor/trans/body/paint/interior is PERFECT. Is there any $$$ in parting the thing out? It's just sitting in my garage taking up space. Anyone have experience with this?

dont part it if thats all thats wrong. You can replace the fuel pump yourself without dropping the tank.

327-TPI/A4- 1992 Trans am
I wish i could bitch about a newer sports car giving me grief! Its call maintenance....better you take care of car, better it takes care of you. Shit id love to take that car off your hands....i have to deal with 80's trans am's/firebirds! Talk about money pits, constantly buying parts and keeping up on them is killing me, but you dont see me bitching and complaining online. Its because i just do what i need to do to keep my cars driving, i love working on them, but money gets tight. I would never part out my cars just because they need parts.
High revving TPI........wait oxymoron?

most of this stuff is easy, there is alot of info online about replacing these parts, most of the parts you could find used anyway and cheap. If the drivetrain and body is good, then why would you not want to fix the little problems (most which are insignificant anyhow)
Spend a little less time giving your kid a haircut that will probably get him beat up and spend a little more time fixing up your perfectly good car

1997 Grand Cherokee- 1999 Firebird.
It's a red 1999 V6/A4. Here's the rub: I still owe a couple thousand on it. Sooo....I was thinking about parting it out to pay it off a little faster.
