Sell Outs
I see ls1gto dot com sold out. So let me see...that makes Bobistheoilguy dot com and of course ls1tech all sold out to "corporate" ....of course the mods/guy who owned it are all over the board saying nothing will change...bullshit....you blast the wrong vendor or manufacturer...post up some tig ol bitties and find out what "corporate" owner will do....So now the internet will be censored/owned by corporations/marketing groups etc.
I say fuck em....close it down or keep it free of "big brother".....Dipshit two faced donkey dick sucking hypocritical assholes selling out.....fuck the community and the board....I get money....Nothing will change....Trust me...... Yeah right.....somebody ask the latest sell out what donkey dick taste like.....I bet he says chicken.....pussy loser....hope the members enjoy all the pop ups and hidden click through advertisements....Last edited by Sarge; 05-14-2008 at 03:19 AM.

True....
Firstly....but not when they have been posting numerous times over the years how "we will always keep this place free of advertisements and always be a place for open and neutral discussion"....then sell out.....nope...that is hypocritical bullshit......
Secondly....Why dont they tell the mods/members (who make the value of the site what it is) "here you guys make this site popular then I'll sell it and you get dick".....at least that would be honest....
Thirdly.....Why would sponsors be paying bills to numerous sites all owned by the same group? Seems to me that business model will kill a few sites fairly quickly...
Fourthly.....the "advertisement groups" buying up these websites will consolidate them eventually.....collapse them into one.....
Fifthly.....sure...a guy owns it he can sell it.....just means to me he is a hypocritical pussy boy and ripped off his members and mods.

My other forums I use, over 1,000,000 posts in the open forum, it is a huge ass forum, sold out to a company. Well our forum engine guru, the guy who had camshaft profile and dyno print out sheets. The one who knew every little trick and mod to fix the little problems here and there, and a couple of exclusive mods he designed for our site only. Yeah, he kept pushing a piston that was not one of the sponsors, and a competitor actually. So they gagged him for two weeks as a punishment. He got mad, deleted every single post he had ever made. Every valuable thread, every iota of gold. Deleted it all. Now we are lost =( I was going to have him design me a cam with maximum lobe seperation to. Now I guess I just have to get an aftermarket design that every tom dick and sarge can buy.

ls1tech used to be a no drama zone yet now that they sold out the old owner lets alot of shit slide. I hear the company that owned almost screwed the pooch by trying to overcharge old sponsors.
The sad thing is as a mod if a business bought it out i would not moderate for free, also why would you even post on a forum anymore since those companies will just use your email and any information you supply the site with as their own.
Random tinkerer-"Hey guys look what i made this is an easy fix for your car"
Company that owns the site-"Ummm we now own the rights to this since you used our site"
The only one who really got any gain from this was the owners i heard ls1tech sold out for a shit ton of money.

not really... the owner was only responsable for hosting a collection of information posted by other members... each site is basically built by the users... users share information and knowledge with each other... to think that the owner of the site is responsible for the information on the site is the farthest from the truth... i'm mean.... look at this site alone...
