I saw this changing while I was in high-school in the early 90's. Alot of stuff we did similar to the 67 stuff you can't get away with now.

My brother got in a fist fight after school his sophmore year (he's a senior now), the other kid started it and admited to it, the school called the cops, my brother (and parents) still had to go to court and ended up getting probation.
I graduated in '99 got in to god knows how many fights and I thought the worst thing was that I still got a 1 day suspension even though the other kid started it.

I live in the sticks and if you leave your gun in your vehicle the principal will come get you and have you pull around front across the street. During deer season the parking lot is usually empty.

I was always on detention for doing shit. Now I'd probably be expelled for the same stuff.

My freshman year I started with the first week of school having a week of DT and the last week of my senior year I had a week of morning and after school DT. I was in there so much I made deals with the guy that monitored it for I didn't have to be in there all the time. It was nice that he used to own a liquor store!

It was a competition with my friends to see who the first was for the week to get sweat rolling down the head of the guy that handed out DT's and stuff. I can't remember what his title was, but he was a short fat bald guy. It was so much fun!

ok, question to some of you younger guys. Do they still beat erasers outside? I remember doing that as a kid. Go out and beat the chalk dust out of the erasers.
