I did a google map search for "Nevada Test Sight" and if you look above the bright white, dried up lake, and zoom in, you'll see all kind of craters from the nuclear bomb tests...pretty freaky!
Oh, and the 2nd dried up lake to the north-west is Area 51 :alien:

The craters are kewl to see from above!

I think its still in use, its still active, but they haven't had anything to test... they tried to test a conventional bunker buster but the Nevada and Utah congressman didn't give them permission or something

Ah ok. Thats still awesome though... All the roads that go off of the main highways through the area are listed as private.... I wonder how hard it would be to get access to them...

Apparently they give tours of the site about once a month... that'd be pretty cool to see the craters in person and everything.
